THIS is the Future You Want

This week I heard a song called “Where Have I Gone?” and it resonated because I’ve felt like this in the past. There was a time when I felt disconnected from myself, not sure of next steps. But I knew something was off and I wanted something different.

Some of the lyrics:
Where have I gone?
My head’s about to burst
Why are my thoughts so loud?
Tell me ’cause I don’t know

I’ve not had dreams for a while
I’ve not been me for a while
Where’s the color gone? Where’s the inspiration?
Where have I gone?
I’ve not been me for a while.

While listening to it, I realized how far I’ve come. The woman who was crying at the kitchen counter feeling broken and angry is a distant memory. I made a commitment that I wouldn’t accept that as a way of being… rather I would always hunt the life force within me.

Whatever you want. Don’t give up.

Keep believing. Keep dreaming.

Keep figuring it out. Keep evolving.

Keep listening to yourself.

Keep making space for what’s calling to you.

Keep demanding magic from yourself and those around you.

Don’t give up. But quit things that ask you to abandon yourself.

Stay in it.

Find and release the fire in your belly.

Don’t count time or compare yourself to others or your past.

Keep going.

My wish is that you don’t ever wake up wondering, “where have I gone?” But if you’ve ever felt that, I’m sending you strength and power – and so much belief (kind of like a reverse dementor if you’ve ever read Harry Potter!). Whatever you want, I see that for you. You’re worth the effort.

Maybe you’re not in “crisis mode,” but this way of being can also be used to commit to the everyday habits that support our goals and dreams. 💡

You might not know the future right now, but I can guarantee you want the one where you didn’t give up on yourself.

Let’s go!!! Just take the first step… (and hit reply if you want to share with me!). 🤩

Many hugs,
Laura

I’m so excited… my 50th birthday is this Wednesday. 🥳🥳🥳 Time is such an odd thing to comprehend. It’s fascinating how our brains can remember something so clearly from childhood or when a memory from 10 years ago feels like it happened “just yesterday.” We all know...
