Let's Go!!!
I’m a trainer, coach, healer and teacher… and always into something new!
Hi, I’m Laura
I’m so glad you’re here! I feel like that kid from the Goonies when she says start at the beginning and he starts telling his whole life story! I want to share everything!
In a nutshell, I became a health coach to help myself with binge eating. I essentially had no coping mechanisms besides turning to food. So if I was stressed, you could find me in the pantry with a spoon in the peanut butter jar. One time I ate 5lbs of peanut butter in a week! Trust me there are better ways to deal with life, which I learned as part of my training in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I started paying attention to ingredients because I realized that I was sending my ADHD kid to school with 55g of sugar coursing through his body and then expecting him to sit still for 8 hours. #notgonnahappen That was valuable, but it actually made me a little obsessive (I would bring food to restaurants with me so I could eat clean!).
Then later on, I started counting macros because I could deadlift 200# but didn’t understand where my muscles were. Guess what, the recommendations about eating your bodyweight in protein are true. 😉 Yes, my body composition changed, but something still felt “off.”
Because no matter what you do, under all the science and all those good habits, how we treat ourselves must be rooted self-love.
My life really transformed with radical acceptance. Deep kindness. Not just giving myself grace – I’m talking about facing shame. I’m talking about forgiveness.
You see, shame is a magic killer. Even if your dreams come true, where there is shame, there is self-attack. Where there is self-attack, there is never freedom to be yourself, to grow or to experience joy without judgment or fear. You will never feel at home in your body.
So, above all else, no self-attack allowed. 🚫
This is the path to transformation.

How we treat ourselves must be rooted in self love.

A Little About Me...
Isn’t life exciting???
As an enneagram 7 (aka The Enthusiast!), I’m driven by a desire for new experiences, to ways to challenge myself and to be creative. I’m always hungry and I constantly have new ideas. I wake up excited to be alive. LFG is a way of being for me.
My purpose is to help people be in their bodies in fantastic and useful ways. How this shows up in real life is being a personal trainer. It’s so fulfilling to see people get strong and move better. I also teach meditation classes, which helps people to become more grounded and relaxed.
I love to read, workout, dance, do yoga/animal flow, goof off with my family (I have two teenage boys), be in nature hiking or trail running, cook and create recipes. I have to write at least every other day or I will shrivel up in a ball of nothing. You’re just as likely to find me lifting as meditating. I’m equally comfortable holding a barbell as I am a pen.
My favorite quote is: “What you seek, is seeking you.” – Rumi
I believe we meet the people that we were destined to have come into our lives. I thrive on connection and deep conversations.
I try to walk the talk. Anything I write or say or recommend, is something that I have tried or believe in.
If you want to work with me, then it’s meant to be… 💖
what i fight for
I believe we are all worthy of what we want; that it is there and waiting to be unearthed and unleashed. However, there are ways of being that we have to overcome because of conditioning and the message that we need to be selfless and always productive.
- I fight against good girl conditioning, against the stereotypes of aging, against acquiesence.
- I fight for physical strength for women — to see themselves as strong because they ARE strong, a fight for doing what you dream of.
- I fight for being in tune with your body in ways you’ve never known.
- I fight for genuine nourishment with foods that provide energy and resources.
- I fight for space for you to slow down, to be still to feel safe in your own thoughts.
- I fight for you to love your body so completely and totally that every decision comes from a place of adoration and admiration, not from derision and disappointment.
- I fight against the stereotype of what we’re supposed to look like — with a goal to be and act smaller and smaller.
- I fight for you to be feel strong and be strong.
- I fight for you to believe that you don’t have to earn your joy.
- I fight that you not listen to the voices and messages within you that say, “you’re not enough, who are you to and how did you let this happen?”
- I fight against the idea that all we are is the roles we have in society.
- I fight against the ridiculous barrage of messages about food that tells us we should eat whatever we want and treat our bodies like garbage trucks.
- I fight for pride in yourself.
- I fight for habits that create energy within us and that exhaustion doesn’t have to be the only way.
- I fight for all kinds of movement.
- I fight for hands around a barbell being something every woman gets to experience.
- I fight for you to see yourself the way I see you, powerful.
- I fight for you to be more than your excuses or self sabotage.
- I fight for you to be able to harness breath.
- I fight for you to stop blaming yourself for problems that are actually systemic and issues for EVERYONE (it’s not just you!)
- I fight for sparkles to be a part of your everyday life.

✨ Live your days with a strong back, a focused mind, joyful heart, creating everyday magic and choosing powerful inputs. ✨
